Sometimes, even with the most intense diets and exercise, one does not reach one’s ideal body. The best results from liposuction are achieved by people with firm skin and weight close to ideal weight, and only in some areas of the body do they have fat accumulation. Liposuction is a procedure that removes fat that has accumulated in different parts of the body. Liposuction is not recommended for the treatment of morbid obesity.
Liposuction can be performed on almost any part of the body. During liposuction surgery, several small holes of about 1 to 2 mm are made in the treated area and tumescent fluid is injected at the site of fat accumulation. The fat is then broken down into small pieces by special cannulas and removed. Liposuction is possible at the same time in several areas of the body. Although there are different techniques for breaking down fat particles, the technique of removing broken fats is similar in all techniques.
The most common techniques used to break down fats include:
- Classic method (SAL: Suction Assisted Lipectomy)
- PAL Method (PAL: Power Assisted Lipectomy)
- Ultrasound Assisted Lipectomy (UAL)
Due to my many years of research, experience and attending in many international congresses, and the advancement of sculpting technology, I use the VASER Lipo and PAL method.
Duration of surgery
The duration of liposuction varies depending on the volume of fat, the area being treated, and the technique used, generally varies from one to several hours.
Liposuction can be performed under general anesthesia, local anesthesia, and induction IV Sedation.
Inpatient / outpatient status
After liposuction, you do not need to be hospitalized and you will be discharged after full consciousness.
Possible side effects
- Slight swelling
- Bruising of the suction site
- Numbness of the area
are Possible side effects of liposuction that resolve after a few days.
- Changes in pigmentation
It should be noted that with proper technique, narrow cannulas and the skill of the surgeon, these complications are minimized.
Shower the day after liposuction. Depending on the size and number of areas under suction, you can return to work after a few days to a week. Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Wear a special garment for 3 to 4 weeks to help you heal faster and achieve the final result.
You will see amazing results between 1 and 3 months after liposuction surgery. If you maintain a healthy lifestyle, nutrition and exercise, you will achieve lasting and amazing results.
