Mini abdominoplasty, or small Tummy Tuck, is a procedure in which the extra skin of the abdomen is removed under the navel and the muscles in that area are repaired and tightened.
The best candidates for mini-abdominoplasty are people who have excess skin in the lower abdomen and under the navel, or for any reason have loosened the muscles in the lower abdomen.
The small size of the abdomen should not be treated with abdominoplasty. In such cases, it is recommended to use a regular diet and exercise. And if you do not succeed in removing excess fat, it is recommended to use advanced VASER lipo and liposuction technology.
The best candidates for mini-abdominoplasty or small Tummy Tuck are people who have excess skin under the umbilicus and loose muscles. Some people who are overweight or pregnant only gain fat and muscle relaxation in the area below the navel, which is a good candidate for mini-abdominoplasty. Duration of surgery
Mini abdominoplasty surgery takes about one and a half to two hours. In cases where due to the large volume of fat on the upper abdomen and sides, it is necessary to remove these fats, we use advanced technologies of liposuction such as VASER Lipo and PAL to empty these fats, the duration of the operation may take up to 4 hours.
Mini abdominoplasty surgery can be performed under epidural anesthesia, induction IV Sedation, or general anesthesia.
Inpatient / outpatient status
Depending on the general condition and the extent of the surgery, you may be hospitalized overnight.
Possible side effects
Slight swelling and bruising of the skin in the area, pain at the site of surgery, and temporary numbness of the abdominal skin are some of the Possible side effects of mini-abdominoplasty.
Infection, subcutaneous bleeding, and the formation of seroma at the site of surgery are possible complications of mini-abdominoplasty surgery. There is a rare possibility of pulmonary embolism.
With a doctor’s permission, bathing 48 hours after surgery is allowed. All your stitches are absorbable and do not need to be pulled. You will return to work within a week. You should refrain from strenuous exercise for at least 6 weeks. Wear a special garment for at least 3 weeks.
The results of mini-abdominoplasty surgery will last for many years unless you gain a lot of weight or get pregnant again.
