Mammoplasty (Breast reduction surgery)
Large and bulky breasts have a negative effect on both the beauty and health of the person and should be treated.
Too large breasts can cause damage to the cervical and dorsal vertebrae and cause chronic pain in the neck and shoulder area. In the mammoplasty technique, in addition to reducing the volume of the breast, a more beautiful and appropriate shape is given to the breast. During mammoplasty or breast reduction surgery, it is possible to shrink the halo around the breast if needed.
There are several techniques for breast reduction surgery. Over the years, we have learned that every patient needs their own technique based on body anatomy, skin and subcutaneous tissue consistency, breast consistency, and breast volume. In some patients, the incision is made in the area around the breast, and in others, the incision continues vertically below the breast. Then the extra breast tissue is removed and the breast is placed on top.

Depending on the technique used, the duration of breast reduction varies, but it usually takes about three to five hours.
Breast reduction surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia.
